California DMV Extends ALL Expiring Driver Licenses
- Licenses for drivers younger than 70 that expire between March and May 2020 are now valid through May 31, 2020.
- All commercial driver licenses, endorsements and certificates expiring between March and June 2020 are now valid through June 30, 2020.
Drivers can request a free temporary paper extension online through DMV’s Virtual Field Office to document their extension. Read more about the extensions and online services at the link below.
2020 United States Census
Have you completed the 2020 Census yet? You should have received a unique number in the mail to use to do the census online or over the phone. The Census data will be used to determine the number of seats California has in the House of Representatives, school funding, healthcare, housing, transportation, children and families. Visit the 2020 Census website to access updated, complete count by county.
U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs: VA Extends Financial, Benefits, Claims Relief to Veterans
The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is taking action to give those with pending debts, claims and appeals greater flexibility during these challenging times.
- Suspending all actions on Veterans debt under the jurisdiction of the Treasury Department.
- Suspending collection action or extending repayment terms on preexisting VA debts, as the Veteran prefers.

Health Care Debts: Contact the Health Resource Center 1-888-827-4817
For Veterans who have been diagnosed with COVID-19 and need immediate action on their appeals, as opposed to a filing extension, the Board of Veterans’ Appeals will Advance their appeal on Docket (AOD). Click here to find out how to file for AOD and what documentation is required.

The Solano County Public Library is operating in a limited capacity, offering remote assistance via Solano County Law Library’s “Ask the Law Librarian” service.
